Chapter 2
ZONING DISTRICTS – USES AND STANDARDS

CHAPTER GUIDE: Chapter 4-2 RMC contains zone-related land use regulations, and zone-related development standards, primarily in tabular form. Chapter 4-2 RMC additionally includes provisions for interpreting the Zoning Map that delineate the zoning and overlay districts and provisions for determining the permissibility of unclassified uses. Chapter 4-2 RMC does not contain procedural information. Related permit processes (e.g., site development plan review, variance, conditional use permit, etc.) are located in chapters 4-8 and 4-9 RMC. In contrast, chapter 4-3 RMC applies to any property in the City that contains certain environmental characteristics, and chapter 4-3 RMC also applies to overlay districts that may or may not include more than one zone in order to apply special use restrictions and/or standards. Chapter 4-4 RMC applies regulations to property City-wide, regardless of zone district. (Ord. 5028, 11-24-2003)
