8.45.010 Sale of firewood during fire danger burn bans.

A. Ban on Sale of Firewood During Fire Danger Burn Bans. Sale of firewood in the amount of less than one-half cord (64 cubic feet) shall be prohibited during the pendency of any fire danger burn ban declared within the city of Roslyn by the Roslyn fire department. For purposes of this section, “firewood” means bare untreated, not dimensional lumber.

B. Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation, their agents or servants, who sell firewood during a fire danger burn ban declared by the Roslyn fire department, after first having been issued a written warning, shall be deemed guilty of a civil infraction with a fine in the amount of $500.00. Violators may be held jointly and severally liable. The civil procedure to be used by the court whenever a notice of civil infraction is issued shall be as set forth in Chapter 7.80 RCW.
