7A.11.010 Motorized vehicles.

No motorized vehicles may be allowed on City of Sammamish trails. Any person violating provisions of this rule shall have committed a criminal misdemeanor. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.11.020 Nonmotorized use.

Regional trails, local trail corridors, and paved pathways are open to all nonmotorized users unless otherwise designated and posted. Park users must obey all trail restrictions for nonmotorized use posted at park entrances, trailheads or individual trails. The following provisions in the Sammamish Municipal Code are adopted by reference, now in effect and as subsequently amended: SMC 7A.08.010 and 7A.08.020. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.11.030 Traffic control devices.

Every person traveling on a City of Sammamish trail must obey the instructions of any official traffic control device or police officer. Any person violating provisions of this rule shall have committed a criminal misdemeanor. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.11.040 Interference with trails.

No person may place, deposit, or otherwise cause any structure, device, thing or item to threaten or endanger any portion of a City of Sammamish trail. It is unlawful to obstruct or create a hazard that establishes a danger for a person traveling on a trail in any manner. This section shall not apply to employees of the City of Sammamish in the performance of their duties or to persons acting pursuant to written direction of the director. Any person violating provisions of this rule shall have committed a civil offense. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.11.050 Soft surface trails, sensitive areas and boardwalks.

Pedestrians and equestrians are permitted on all maintained soft surface trails unless otherwise posted and designated. No person may use or operate a bicycle of any kind, electric personal mobility device, motorized foot scooter, toy motorized cars or trucks, or any electric or small motorized device on a maintained soft surface trail, in a sensitive area, or on a boardwalk unless otherwise posted and designated. The following provisions in the Sammamish Municipal Code are adopted by reference, now in effect and as subsequently amended: SMC 7A.08.010 and 7A.08.020. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))
