SUPERIOR COURT DONATIONS FUND

4.100.010 Name of Fund.

There is hereby created a special revenue fund known as the superior court donations fund.

4.100.020 Purpose of fund.

The purpose of the superior court donations fund is to accumulate monies received by the county from donations relating to the superior court for expenditure on superior court purposes.

4.100.030 Source of resources.

Resources for this fund may come from donations, gifts and bequests from any person as defined in SCC 1.01.040(1)(e). Funding may be received from the general fund or other county fund upon approval by the county council.

4.100.040 Authority to accept donations.

The presiding judge and the superior court administrator are authorized to accept donations of money from the public for superior court purposes. Upon receipt, such donations shall be deposited into the superior court donations fund.

4.100.050 Fund manager.

The county executive shall designate a fund manager whose name and title shall appear on a master list of fund managers maintained in the department of finance.

4.100.060 Advisory committee.

Notwithstanding SCC 2.03.090, the presiding judge may appoint an ad hoc or advisory committee to recommend appropriate expenditures of monies from the superior court donations fund. Coincident with the county executive’s budget proposal, the superior court shall submit to the council each year a summary of the activities of any ad hoc or advisory committee appointed pursuant to this section.
