CUMULATIVE RESERVE FUND FOR EVERGREEN STATE FAIR SPONSORSHIPS AND DONATIONS

4.86.010 Name of fund.

There is created a cumulative reserve fund to be known as the cumulative reserve fund for Evergreen State Fair sponsorships and donations.

4.86.020 Purpose of fund.

The purpose of the cumulative reserve fund for Evergreen State Fair sponsorships and donations is to accumulate monies received by the county from sponsorships and donations relating to the annual Evergreen State Fair as described in chapter 2.32 SCC for expenditure on Evergreen State Fair purposes. Such purposes shall include, but not be limited to, advertising, promotion, entertainment during the fair, and fairgrounds improvements or acquisitions. Expenditures for fairgrounds improvements or acquisitions that benefit activities unrelated to the annual Evergreen State Fair may be made so long as the expenditures benefit the annual Evergreen State Fair.

4.86.030 Source of resources.

Resources of the cumulative reserve fund for Evergreen State Fair sponsorships and donations shall consist of:

(1) Payments made by Evergreen State Fair sponsors;

(2) Donations by the public for Evergreen State Fair purposes; and

(3) Other amounts designated by the county council.

4.86.040 Authority to accept donations.

The county executive, county treasurer, and fairgrounds manager appointed under SCC 2.32.120 are authorized to accept donations of money from the public for Evergreen State Fair purposes. Upon receipt such donations shall be deposited into the cumulative reserve fund for Evergreen State Fair sponsorships and donations

4.86.050 Fund manager.

The county executive shall designate a fund manager whose name and title shall appear on a master list of fund managers contained in the department of budget and finance. The fund manager shall have the responsibilities set out in SCC 4.05.050.
