UTILITY OCCUPATION TAX ON SEWER AND GARBAGE DEPARTMENTS

3.52.010    Levy on sewer department.

3.52.010 Levy on sewer department.

A. There is levied and there shall be collected from the sewer department of the city a tax at the rate of 10 percent upon the gross sales of services made by that department.

B. The city clerk-treasurer shall add the amount of the tax to the charge the city makes for sewer service and set the same aside for the general fund upon receipt. (Ord. 595 § 1, 1981).

3.52.020 Levy on garbage department.

A. There is levied and there shall be collected from the garbage department of the city a tax at the rate of 10 percent upon the gross sales of services made by that department.

B. The city clerk shall add the amount of the tax to the charge the city makes for garbage service and set the same aside for the general fund upon receipt. (Ord. 595 § 2, 1981).
