INTERFERENCE WITH FIREFIGHTING

9.08.010 Unlawful to ride on or interfere with fire trucks.

It is unlawful for any person to ride upon the fire trucks and vehicles of the city or to in any way interfere with, molest or disturb the fire department of the city or its officers and members thereof while such trucks, vehicles or equipment is going to or returning from any fire to which the department may be called or while engaged in extinguishing any such fire unless such person is an authorized member of the fire department or is acting under a request of the fire department or some member thereof. 9.08.020 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating the provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $1,000. (Ord. 1314 § 1, 1985: Ord. 369 § 2, 1928. Prior code § 3.08.020)
