CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER

2.16.010 Separate positions created – Effective date.

Effective on and from March 31, 2006, the positions of City Clerk and Treasurer shall be separate offices, subject to the provisions and duties described below. [Ord. 2128 § 1, 2006.]

2.16.020 City Clerk.

The City Clerk shall be appointed by the City Manager and shall perform those duties of City Clerk set forth in RCW 35A.42.040 and applicable statutes, laws, and those duties and functions of City Clerk set forth in the provisions of this code, together with duties and functions incidental to such performance, or as further assigned by the City Manager. The City Manager may appoint Deputy City Clerks as deemed necessary and appropriate to carry out the purposes and duties of the City Clerk. [Ord. 2128 § 1, 2006.]

2.16.030 City Treasurer – Finance Director.

The Finance Director shall be designated the City Treasurer and shall perform those duties set forth in RCW 35A.42.010 and applicable statutes, laws, and those duties and functions of Treasurer set forth in the provisions of this code, together with duties and functions incidental to such performance, or as further assigned by the City Manager.
