PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN OFFENSES1

A. The following offenses of the City code shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $5,000 and/or a jail sentence not to exceed one year:

9.10.900    Assault in the Fourth Degree (RCW 9A.36.041)

    

9.10.900    Reckless Endangerment (RCW 9A.36.050)

    

9.10.900    Coercion (RCW 9A.36.070)

    

9.16.900    Violation of No Contact Order (RCW 10.99.040)

    

9.16.900    Restraining Orders Notice – Refusal to Comply – Defense (RCW 26.09.300)

    

9.16.900    Violation of Order of Protection (RCW 26.50.110)

    

9.56.900    Rendering Criminal Assistance in the Second Degree (RCW 9A.76.080), where the offense is a gross misdemeanor as defined therein

    

9.56.900    Compounding (RCW 9A.76.100)

    

9.70.900    Theft in the Third Degree (RCW 9A.56.050)

    

9.74.900    Vehicle Prowling in the Second Degree (RCW 9A.52.100)

B. The following offenses shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 and/or a jail sentence not to exceed 90 days:

9.10.010    Threats to Do Harm

    

9.10.020    Provoking an Assault

    

9.56.010    Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer

    

9.56.020    Unauthorized Communication with Prisoner

    

9.56.030    Willfully Failing to Return to Work Release

    

9.56.900    Refusing to Summon a Police Officer (RCW 9A.76.030)

    

9.56.900    Resisting Arrest (RCW 9A.76.040)

    

9.56.900    Rendering Criminal Assistance on the Second Degree (RCW 9A.76.080), where the offense is a misdemeanor as defined therein.

    

9.56.900    Rendering Criminal Assistance in the Third Degree (RCW 9A.76.090)

    

9.56.900    Introducing Contraband in the Third Degree

C. The following offenses shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 and/or a jail sentence not to exceed 90 days; provided, that such offenses shall also carry the minimum sentencing provisions of RCW 69.50.425:

9.14.010    Marijuana Prohibited

    

9.14.030    Drug Paraphernalia Prohibited
