10.08.010 Washington Model Traffic Ordinance.

The Washington Model Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 308-330 WAC, is hereby adopted by reference as the traffic ordinance of the city of Toppenish as if set forth in full. (Ord. 2014-1 § B, 2014).

10.08.020 Driving while under the influence.

The following sections of Chapter 275, Laws of 1994, are adopted by reference: 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 23; and RCW 46.20.730, as amended by Section 23 of Chapter 275. (Ord. 94-17 § 1, 1994).

10.08.070 Parking infractions – Notice – Monetary penalties for failure to respond.

A. If any motor vehicle without a driver is found parked, angle-parked, standing or stopped in violation of any of the restrictions imposed by the ordinances of the city, the officer finding this vehicle shall take its registration number and may take any other information displayed on the vehicle which may identify its user, and shall conspicuously affix to the vehicle a notice of parking infraction.

B. If no response is made to a notice of parking infraction within 15 days from the date it is issued, there shall be a monetary penalty of $5.00 added to the monetary penalty for committing the parking infraction; and further, such monetary penalty for failure to respond shall be increased to $25.00 if there is no response made to the notice of parking infraction within a period of 30 days from the date of issuance. 10.08.080 Disposition of traffic fines and forfeitures.

All penalties, fees and assessments collected, or all fines collected upon conviction or forfeiture of bail of any person charged or cited with a violation of any of the provisions of this code shall be paid into the general fund of the city. (Ord. B-298 § 2, 1984).
