13.40.010 Adjustments to be made proportionally.

Beginning January 1, 2002, where no specific action has been taken to adjust a water or sewer utility service rate or land use fee, such rate or fee shall be determined in proportion to any increase shown in the Consumer Price Index, All Urban for the Seattle-Tacoma Area, All Items, as published by the U. S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. In applying this provision, the adjustment made shall be determined by comparing such CPI information available as of September 1, 2001, for the first half of 2001, with the same information for the first half of 2000. Any percentage increase derived from said comparison shall be applied and take effect January 1, 2002. A like comparison, and any increase applied, shall be made in September of 2002 for 2003, with this process continuing thereafter unless otherwise changed. (Ord. 504 § 1, 2000; Ord. 485 § 1, 1999)
