PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’
RETIREMENT SYSTEM

The council of the town authorizes and approves the membership and participation of its eligible employees in the Washington Public Employees’ Retirement System pursuant to RCW 41.40.410, and authorizes the expenditure of the necessary funds to cover its proportionate share for participation in said system. (Ord. 332 § 1, 1970).
2.40.020 Transmittal of ordinance required.
The clerk/treasurer is directed to transmit a certified copy of the ordinance codified in this chapter to the retirement board of the system as evidence of such authorization and approval. (Ord. 332 § 2, 1970).
2.40.030 Commencement date.
Participation membership in the Washington Public Employees’ Retirement System shall commence March 1, 1970. (Ord. 332 § 3, 1970).
