TURNING MOVEMENTS

10.06.010 U turns prohibited.
A. It shall be lawful to make U turns at intersection locations with State Highway 2 located within the corporate limits of the town provided that the same can be made in safety and without interfering with other traffic.
B. It shall be lawful to make U turns at intersection locations with Locust Street from Chelan Avenue to Rainier Avenue provided that the same can be made in safety without interfering with other traffic.
C. It shall be unlawful to make U turns on State Highway 2 within the corporate limits of the town, except as otherwise provided in subsection A.
D. It shall be unlawful to make U turns on Locust Street from Chelan Avenue to Rainier Avenue except as otherwise provided in subsection B.
E. It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle to back out of a designated “angle parking” space across State Highway 2 so as to proceed in the opposite direction.
F. It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle to make a left hand turn across State Highway 2 and Locust Street for the purpose of angle parking. (Ord. 465 §§ 1 – 6, 1986).
10.06.020 Penalty.
Any person violating the terms of this chapter shall be punished by a fine not to exceed the sum of $250.00. (Ord. 465 § 7, 1986).
