LIMITED TIME VEHICLE PARKING

10.12.010 Parking between 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. prohibited where.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to park or leave a car, truck, tractor, trailer or any other vehicle, whether motor-propelled or otherwise, upon the following streets within the town between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of each and every day:

East Park Street beginning at the South end of said East Park Street where same intersects with Walnut Street; Locust Street between Blocks Four and Five of the original town; Chelan Avenue, beginning at the south line of City Center Square, common to Blocks Four and Five of the original town and Blocks Two and Three of Kincaid’s First Addition to the town; thence due north on Chelan Avenue to a point where Chelan Avenue intersects with Poplar Street in the town. 10.12.020 Parking on easements.

Except as otherwise provided herein, it shall be unlawful for any person to cause, allow, commit or suffer any motor vehicle, trailer, house trailer, boat trailer, horse trailer or other small trailer used for personal use, or any watercraft or any other object registered in his name or operated or controlled by him, to be parked upon any street for a longer continuous time than 24 hours within the town of Waterville, Washington on all streets not otherwise regulated during the “snow removal season.” Any vehicle or trailer as described herein must be parked on odd numbered days on the odd numbered side of the street and on even numbered days on the even numbered side of the street during the “snow removal season.” “Snow removal season” is defined to be between November 1st and March 31st of the following year. 10.12.030 Violation – Impoundment of vehicles.

In addition to the penalty provided for the violation of this chapter in WMC 10.12.040, the law enforcement agency for the town may remove or provide for the removal and impounding of any and all vehicles and/or trailers described in WMC 10.12.020 found parked or standing on the streets designated in WMC 10.12.010 and 10.12.020 between the hours designated or on the wrong side of the street. The provisions of RCW 46.55.010 through 46.55.910 pertaining to towing and impounding abandoned, unauthorized and junk vehicles are hereby adopted in full by this reference as if set forth herein. 10.12.040 Violation – Penalty.

A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be an infraction punishable by a fine of $75.00. In the event the initial fine is not paid within the first 15 days of the date of the issuance of the infraction, the fine shall increase to $100.00.
