8.18.010 Acceptance of land for fire lane.

The city does accept from the Great Northern Railway Company its grant of authority and permission to establish a fire lane on certain portions of Worthen Street situate on Great Northern Railway Company property, the portions being described as follows, a strip of land 35 feet in width and lying 35 feet easterly of the following described line:

Beginning at the point of intersection of the easterly line of the Great Northern Railway right-of-way and a line that is 17.5 feet westerly of and parallel to the centerline of Worthen Street as established by the River Front Addition; thence southerly along a line 17.5 feet westerly of and parallel to the centerline and extended centerline of Worthen Street to a point of intersection with the most easterly rail of the spur line track of the Great Northern Railway Company; thence southerly along the easterly rail to the northerly line of Block 2, Manufacturers Addition to Wenatchee, Chelan County, Washington, and portions of Worthen Street are established as a fire lane.

8.18.020 Restricted parking.

It is unlawful for any person to park or stand vehicles on any portion of the fire lane at any time except during such period as the vehicles are in the process of being loaded or unloaded and the driver thereof is in actual attendance of the vehicle. (Ord. 1678 § 2, 1961)

8.18.030 Posting signs.

The fire chief is authorized to post signs on the fire lane, designating portions of Worthen Street as a fire lane. (Ord. 1678 § 3, 1961)

8.18.040 Penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined as authorized in Chapter 6B.08 WCC. (Ord. 2009-39 § 2)
