6.14.010 Unauthorized use unlawful.

It is unlawful for any person who is not a tenant, employee, or authorized user of the city of the Westport Marina facilities to place garbage in or near the garbage dumpsters associated with the Westport Marina. It shall also be unlawful for any authorized person to place garbage in the above set forth garbage dumpsters which did not originate nor come directly from boats moored at the Westport Marina or users of the boat launch. 6.14.020 Marking on container.

Every garbage dumpster in the Westport Marina shall be clearly marked indicating that the container is for authorized users only. (Ord. 1383, 2006)

6.14.030 Violation Penalty.

The first or second violation of this chapter in any 12-month period shall be a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00 and not less than $100.00. Any third or subsequent offense in any 12-month period shall constitute a misdemeanor criminal offense. (Ord. 1383, 2006)

6.14.040 No parking zones Violation Penalty.

(1) It is unlawful to park or leave unattended any vehicle so as to block access to the garbage containers by the city’s contractor or any user of garbage containers.

(2)(A) The city director of public works shall mark each garbage container and zone in which there shall be no parking or leaving unattended any vehicle at the entrance to each float at the Westport boat basin and boat launch.

(B) The director of public works or the police department shall be authorized to order the removal of any vehicle blocking the garbage containers at the expense of the owner, which expense shall include towing and storage charges.

(3) Violation of this section is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a minimum fine of not less than $50.00. (Ord. 840 §§ 2 – 4, 1989)
