TOWN ATTORNEY

2.08.010 Selection.

The Mayor of the town is authorized to designate from time to time a legally qualified member(s) of the Washington State Bar, admitted to practice, to service the Mayor, Town Council and officials of the town in advising town authorities and officers in such legal matters pertaining to the business of the town as shall be referred to such attorney by the Mayor or by official action of the Town Council. The Council shall confirm the Mayor’s appointment of the Town Attorney. (Ord. 215 § 4, 1988: Ord. 199 § 1, 1987)

2.08.020 Compensation.

The attorney selected as set out in Section 2.08.010 of this chapter shall be compensated for such services at the rates and amounts as approved by the Mayor and the Town Council. (Ord. 199 § 2, 1987)
