14.20.010 Established.
A conservation zone is established. The land uses and standards for this zone are as stated in this chapter. (Ord. 202 § 4.01, 1987)
14.20.020 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the conservation of tidelands, and lands lying within certain watersheds, and characterized by natural growth, steep slopes, and watercourses, all of which enhances the aesthetic and natural environment of the residential areas within the Town. 14.20.030 Permitted uses.
The land uses permitted in the conservation zone are as follows:
A. Excavation, moving, loading, and unloading of earth, rock, and other sanitary fill materials to improve or preserve the natural state therein;
B. Fences and other enclosures to protect the general public from hazard of the terrain and/or any operations relating to the land improvements or preservation of the natural state therein;
C. Planting and cultivation, reforestation of trees, grass, and other vegetation, compatible with the maintenance of the areas in a natural condition;
D. Installation of water, sewer, and storm sewer mains, and other public utility installations, relating to the distribution of gas and electricity;
E. Community centers, Town Hall, and offices for Town government. (Ord. 01-412 § 1 (Exh. 1 (part)), 2001: Ord. 202 § 4.03, 1987)
14.20.035 Conditional uses.
Conditional uses permitted within this zone shall be administered consistent with the provisions of Chapter 14.48 of this code. Conditional uses are:
A. Public facilities including government administrative offices and operation facilities, community centers, recreation facilities, and public safety facilities.
B. Utilities installations (not including sewer, water, and stormwater facilities, and telecommunications and energy distribution lines).
C. Wireless communications facilities as provided in Section 14.46.110(A)(3). (Ord. 10-520 § 1 (Exh. B (part)), 2010)
