9.16.010 Marijuana prohibited.

Except as otherwise authorized by the laws of the state of Washington, it is unlawful for any person to manufacture, deliver, grow, or possess marijuana within the city. “Marijuana” means all portions and parts of the plant of the genus Cannabis L., whether growing or not; including the seeds of such a plant, the resins extracted from any part of the plant, and every compound, salt, derivative, mixture, or any combination of materials which includes any portion of the marijuana plant, its seed or resins. 9.16.020 Violation – Penalty.

In addition to any fine or jail sentence, every person convicted of a violation of the provisions of ZMC 9.16.010, relating to the manufacture, delivery, growing or possession of marijuana, the person shall be assessed a penalty of $100.00 which shall be paid to the city police department for use toward narcotic investigations and enforcement activities.
