No entertainments shall be held by any society or club in the Douglas County Courthouse. (Prior code § 2.70.030)

2.40.020 Smoking.

A.  Signs shall be posted at the entrance door of each door to the Douglas County Courthouse and each entrance door of buildings owned or leased by the county which are open to the public, that no smoking shall be allowed in the building except in designated smoking areas.

B.  The designated smoking area for the Douglas County Courthouse is the office located at the northeast corner of the sheriff’s office. There shall be no smoking allowed in any other portion of the Douglas County Courthouse. The designated smoking area for the Douglas County Annex Building is the lunchroom.

C.  There shall be no smoking allowed in the pool facilities operated by the county.

D.  The elected officer or department head for any officer may designate a working area not open to the public as an area where smoking is allowed, provided that the smoking area has existing physical barriers and ventilation to minimize the toxic effect of smoke in adjacent nonsmoking areas.
