12.24.010 Numerals – Required.
All primary buildings such as single-family residences, apartments, retail stores, offices, warehouses, etc. built, constructed, rebuilt, or moved in the City shall be identified as to address by the placement of numerals which can be readily observed from the public right-of-way serving as access to such building. (Ord. 1226 § 1, 1975).
12.24.020 Numerals – Specifications.
The numerals so used to designate the address of a building shall be permanently affixed to the building, or fence post, or other such accessory structure that is on the same property as the building and more visible from the right-of-way. The total area of the numerals so used shall not exceed 2 square feet in area as specified in IMC Title 15. (Ord. 1226 § 2, 1975).
12.24.030 Enforcement and inspection.
It shall be the responsibility of the City Building Official to enforce the provisions of IMC 12.24.010 through 12.24.040. The Building Official shall inspect for the placement of the correct address numerals at the time the final building inspection is performed. (Ord. 1226 § 3, 1975).
12.24.040 Violation – Penalty.
The penalty for the violation of any provision or IMC 12.24.010 through 12.24.040 or for failing to comply with a notice of violation issued by the Building Official shall be a civil penalty in the amount of $10.00 per day from the date set for compliance until such violation is corrected or such notice of violation is complied with. Such penalty shall be collected by civil action, brought in the name of the City, and commenced in the King County Justice Court, Issaquah District. The Building Official shall notify the City Attorney in writing of the name of any person subject to such penalty and the amount thereof, and such officer shall, with the assistance of the Building Official, take appropriate action to collect the penalty. 12.24.050 Street names.
A. The names of streets, arterials, and other ways within the City, together with area quadrants for street numbering purposes, are fixed according to the provisions detailed on the Street Name and Number Designation Map, on file with the City Clerk and incorporated into this section by reference.
B. The purpose of this section is to fix names or numbers to private streets within the City Limits which are consistent with the uniform addressing system. Certain existing street names are also being changed to reflect the actual platted conditions and eliminate names for streets that do not exist.
C. Schedule of Changes, Amendments, Additions and Deletions.
1. S.W. Mt. Baker Drive is deleted as a designation for the Catholic Church driveway.
2. S.W. Mt. Adams, which designates the street running along the southwest boundary of the Baptist Church property is changed to S.W. Mt. Baker Drive.
3. The street serving the Walimaki short plat along 17th Avenue N.W. is designated as N.W. Goode Place.
4. The street serving the Walimaki short plat west of Wildwood Boulevard along an unimproved road commonly called Hepler Lane is designated as S.W. Hepler Lane.
5. The street running along the eastern bank of Tibbits Creek and between N.W. Mall Street and the I-90 right-of-way is designated as 19th Avenue N.W.
6. The unimproved street running parallel to I-90 between SR-900 and the Issaquah Tennis Club is designated as N.W. Poplar Way.
7. The street created by the VIP’s Restaurants, Inc. Subdivision, which runs north and south between N.W. Sammamish Road and I-90 is designated as 15th Place N.W.
8. As designated on the Montreux Development Plat recorded with King County as recording certificate number 9102260180, and indicated parenthetically by their present County designation, the following new names are hereby given to those streets within the Montreux plat:
a. Alpen Glow Pl. N.W. (no County designation on plat);
b. N.W. Bernina Ct. (S.E. 53rd Ct.);
c. Champery Pl. N.W. (no County designation on plat);
d. Col de Vars Pl. N.W. (184th Ct. S.E.);
e. Eiger Pl. N.W. (183rd Ct. S.E.);
f. Gran Paradiso Pl. N.W. (182nd Pl. S.E.);
g. Isola Pl. N.W. (182nd Ave. S.E.);
h. Jung Frau Pl. N.W. (181st Ct. S.E.);
i. N.W. Konigs Ct. (S.E. 55th Pl.);
j. N.W. Lac Leman Drive (no County designation on plat);
k. N.W. Cervinia Ct. (S.E. 55th Ct.);
l. N.W. Marseille Ct. (no County designation on plat);
m. Matterhorn Pl. N.W. (no County designation on plat);
n. Mont Blanc Pl. N.W. (no County designation on plat);
o. N.W. Montreux Drive (185th Pl. S.E.; S.E. 54th; 181st Pl. S.E.);
