2.72.010 Established.
There is hereby established a board to be known as the Kelso/Longview airport board. (Ord. 3360 § 2, 1997)
2.72.020 Membership—Term.
A. The board shall consist of four members: one member to be designated by the city of Kelso, one to be designated by the city of Longview, a third to be designated by the port of Longview, and a fourth to be designated by Cowlitz County.
B. The members of the board shall serve at the pleasure of the governmental entity designating them. (Ord. 3360 § 2, 1997)
2.72.030 Purpose—Function.
A. The board shall be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the airport. It shall also be the responsibility of the board to advise the city manager and the city council relative to the acquisition, utilization, care, maintenance and disposition of all airport facilities and all property or equipment pertaining to or associated with the airport.
B. The board shall review, advise and make recommendations to the city manager and city council relative to the promulgation and enforcement of rules and regulations governing the operation of the airport. In addition thereto, the board shall make recommendations to the city council regarding the granting or revocation of FBO leases or other grants of operational authority at the airport.
C. In addition thereto, the board shall have such further duties as may from time to time be assigned to it by the city council. (Ord. 3360 § 2, 1997)
2.72.040 Meetings—Organization.
The board shall hold meetings at regular intervals to be determined by the board. Members of the board shall select from among themselves such officers as they may deem necessary and may establish rules for the conduct of their meetings and business. (Ord. 3360 § 2, 1997)
