IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

13.70.010 Irrigation water – Service charge.

A. The rates charged to residents within the boundaries of the three city-owned and maintained irrigation systems shall be as follows:

1. Brotherhood Irrigation System.

B. The foregoing rates shall become effective December 22, 2006, and be charged monthly, year-round until amended.

C. In addition to the monthly service charge set forth above, there shall be a one-time connection charge of $700.00 for each connection of three-fourths-inch to the irrigation system. In the event that a connection is larger than three-fourths inch, the one-time charge shall be based upon a determination by the public works director of city costs. [Ord. 37-06 § 1, 2006].

13.70.020 Low-income senior citizen irrigation water charges.

A. A single-family residential irrigation water account in the name of a low-income senior citizen shall be charged at a rate which is 50 percent of the rate established for single-family residences in WRMC 13.70.010.

B. A reduced irrigation water service charge pursuant to the section shall be limited to one per eligible individual and one for each property served.

C. The application, determination of eligibility and administration of the low-income senior citizen domestic sewer rates shall be in accordance with the provisions of WRMC 1.20.010. [Ord. 37-06 § 1, 2006].
