10.04.020 State speed limits adopted.

The provisions of Sections 346.57, 346.58 and 346.59, Wisconsin Statutes, relating to the maximum and minimum speed of vehicles are adopted as part of this section as if fully set forth herein. (Prior code § 7.02)

10.04.030 Vehicle equipment and safety standards.

A.    Adoption of Administrative Regulation. The City of Brookfield adopts all provisions of Chapters Trans 305, 325, 326, and 327 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code, and all subsequent amendments thereto, by reference. Such chapters are made a part of this section with the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein. (Ord. 2812-22 § 1, 2022)

10.04.040 Annual State Highway Maintenance Manual composite rates adopted.

The annual composite rates issued by the Director of the Wisconsin Bureau of Highway Operations are adopted for purposes of equipment rate billing, as attached in “Exhibit A.”* (Ord. 2088-06 § 1, 2006)

10.04.050 Penalty.

The penalty for violation of a provision of this chapter shall be a forfeiture, together with costs, fees, and surcharges imposed, as set forth in the Wisconsin Revised Uniform State Traffic Deposit Schedule created under Section 345.26(2)(a), Wisconsin Statutes, as it is from time to time amended.

In default of payment of any forfeiture, costs, fees, or surcharges imposed, punishment shall be by imprisonment in the county jail until said forfeiture and costs are paid in full, but not in excess of the terms set forth in Section 800.095(1)(b)(1), Wisconsin Statutes, or by suspension of operating privileges, pursuant to Sections 343.30, 345.47, and 800.095(1)(a), Wisconsin Statutes.
