WITHDRAWALS AND DISBURSEMENTS

3.15.010 Signatures.

The Clerk/Treasurer and Chairperson, or a Town Supervisor in the Chairperson’s absence, shall affix their signatures on all withdrawals or disbursements of funds from the Town treasury or any other fund or account in the control or under the jurisdiction of the Town Board pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 66.0607(3). (Ord. 2009-19 § 1. 2008 code § 2.04(1))

3.15.020 Facsimile or “stamped” signatures.

On any check or draft, not more than one facsimile or “stamp” signature may be affixed in lieu of their personal signature pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 66.0607(3). (Ord. 2009-19 § 1. 2008 code § 2.04(2))

3.15.030 Deputy Treasurer authority.

In the Clerk/Treasurer’s absence or due to his/her unavailability, sickness or disability, the Deputy Treasurer may sign any check, draft, withdrawal or disbursement, or otherwise act in the Clerk/Treasurer’s behalf, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 66.0607(3). (Ord. 2009-19 § 1. 2008 code § 2.04(3))

3.15.040 Automatic withdrawal payments.

The Clerk/Treasurer and Chairperson, or a Town Supervisor in the Chairperson’s absence, following approval from the Town Board, may authorize the use of direct deposit, electronic transfers, and automated clearinghouse methods from the Town checking account for the making of periodic payments to vendors, pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 66.0607(3m). (Ord. 2009-19 § 1. 2008 code § 2.04(4))

3.15.050 Town bank accounts and disbursements.

All funds held by the Town of East Troy shall be deposited in a bank that is authorized at the annual meeting or by the Town Board pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes. Segregated account funds set aside for a specific purpose or where there is a need to identify separate accounts for accounting or audit purposes the Town Treasurer shall denominate the same as a separate account and shall separately indicate those in all reports to the Town Board and in reports prepared for the annual and budget meetings. A separate account shall be established for Municipal Court funds. (2008 code § 2.04(5))
