5.50.010 Purpose.

Until such time as rescinded by ordinance, there will be a standing committee known as the matching grant committee. The purpose of this committee is to review and score matching grant applications. The committee will make, by separate resolutions, recommendations to the assembly of its choices of grant recipients. Also, the committee may advise the assembly concerning matching grant matters when the committee so chooses. [Ord. 06-27 § 2; Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.020 Number of members.

The matching grant committee shall consist of three regular members, one alternate from the previous year’s committee to serve only in the absence of a primary member, with the mayor as an ex-officio member. [Ord. 06-27 § 2; Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.030 Qualifications.

All members of the matching grant review committee shall be members of the Denali Borough assembly. [Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.040 Selection of members.

Committee seats will be held by assembly members holding assembly seats A, E, and I in 2005, seats B, F, and G in 2006 and seats C, D, and H in 2007. This rotation will continue on an annual basis. One alternate shall be named by the assembly from the previous year’s committee to serve only in the absence of a primary member. [Ord. 06-27 § 2; Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.050 Term.

The term of the committee shall be one year commencing in December of each year. [Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.060 Vacancies.

If a seat becomes vacant, the assembly shall nominate and appoint another assembly member to fill that seat. A member so appointed will fill out the term of that committee seat. [Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.070 Officers.

The committee at its first meeting after formation will select a chairperson and vice chairperson. [Ord. 06-06 § 2.]

5.50.080 Meetings.

A.    Procedures. The committee procedures contained in Chapter 2.45 DBC and the current edition of Roberts Rules of Order will apply.

B.    Regular Meetings. Regular meetings will be held per DBC 2.45.050(N).

C.    Special Meetings. Special meetings will be held as per DBC 2.45.050(O).

D.    Records. Minutes of all committee meetings will be kept, and a copy submitted to the borough clerk. [Ord. 06-06 § 2.]
