6-1-1 Building Code

A.    The Town of Oro Valley’s adopted building code is the “2006 International Building Code,” as amended, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Oro Valley, Arizona.

B.    The use of minimum requirements specified in this Code does not guarantee, implicitly or explicitly, the safety of any building or structure subject to this Code. All buildings or structures subject to this Code shall submit to a commonly accepted rational analysis and shall meet or exceed the minimum requirements stated herein.

6-1-2 Conformance with Zoning Ordinance

Whenever a building permit is issued and a building inspection performed, such building must conform to the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town in addition to the provisions of this chapter.

6-1-3 Adoption of Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings

That certain document known as the “Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1994 Edition,” three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Oro Valley, Arizona, which documents were made a public record by Resolution No. 95-53, is hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this section, any provisions thereof to become effective on the January 1, 1996.

6-1-4 Building Valuation Data Schedule and Construction Permit Fee Schedules

Those certain documents known as the “Oro Valley Building Valuation Data Schedule and Construction Permit Fee Schedules,” three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Oro Valley, Arizona, which documents were made a public record by Resolution No. (R)04-79, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this section, any provisions thereof to become effective on January 20, 2005. “Valuation Data Schedule and Construction Permit Fee Schedules” are located under the Community Development website under Building Safety.
