2.67.010 Purpose and intent.
It is the purpose and intent of the city council in establishing rules and regulations governing the use of the Chula Vista boat launching and marina facilities at the J Street Marina to ensure for the public in general, and the residents of this community in particular, full and equal rights to the use and enjoyment of said public facilities without regard to the status or conditions of the users of said facilities. It is recognized that society generally has a right to use publicly owned premises in a sanitary and orderly condition and to feel free and secure in the use thereof. It is the intent of the city council in establishing the rules codified in this chapter to protect the interests of the citizens in the enjoyment and safety of the public in the use of the facilities. 2.67.020 Presence prohibited during certain hours – Exceptions.
It shall be unlawful for any person to enter or occupy any of the area of the Chula Vista boat launching and marina facilities at the J Street Marina, as the same is described on the map attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter, marked Exhibit A, and incorporated in this chapter by reference as if set forth in full, for any purpose between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., unless such person has written authorization from the chief of police or the director of parks and recreation. (Ord. 1785 § 1, 1978).
2.67.025 Alcoholic beverage consumption and possession prohibited in J Street Marina area.
It is unlawful for any person without a permit duly issued by the city manager for a special event to consume or possess any alcoholic beverage, as defined in California Business and Professions Code Section 23004, upon any public street, sidewalk, alley, plaza, public park, beach, restroom, launching ramp, or any other public areas within the limits of the city in that area commonly known as the Chula Vista launching ramp; more particularly described as that area lying southerly of G Street and westerly of Tidelands Avenue and the southerly prolongation of its north-south axis. 2.67.030 Posting.
The director of public works shall immediately post the perimeter of the area described in this chapter with signs advising of the restrictions and limitations on the occupancy of said facility. (Ord. 1785 § 1, 1978).
