The official map of the former pueblo or city of Sonoma, made by Jasper O’Farrell and being now on file in the recorder’s office of the county of Sonoma, shall be and the same is declared and adopted as the official map of the present city of Sonoma, so far as the map relates to the extent and boundaries of the present city; and all streets and parts of streets as designated upon the map and being within the boundaries of the present city shall be the streets of the present city, except such streets and parts of streets as have been heretofore sold by the trustees under an act of the Legislature of the state of California, entitled "An Act to Repeal an Act to Incorporate the City of Sonoma," approved April 26th, 1862, and the act amendatory thereof, approved April 10th, 1863, and excepting also all streets and parts of streets sold by the late pueblo commissioners under and by virtue of the several acts of the Legislature, relating to the pueblo commissioners, or to the former pueblo or city of Sonoma, approved respectively March 30th, 1868, March 29th, 1878 and April 4th, 1881. 1.20.020 Public plaza.
The plaza in the city shall be and remain a public plaza forever. (Ord. 6 § 2, 1884).
