7.20.010 Camping prohibited where.
No ground, open space, building, hall, structure, or other real property owned by the city or in its possession or control shall be used by any person, persons or group of persons for camping, or for lodging either in the daytime or nighttime, nor shall any such place be used by any person for sleeping on the open ground, with or without bedding, during the hours of darkness, unless such place is specifically designated a campground or other public facility for camping, lodging or sleeping purposes by written order of this council, and then only pursuant to such rules and regulations as promulgated by the park and recreation commission for the safe and proper conduct of such facilities. (Ord. 381 § 1, 1967).
7.20.020 Permission withheld.
Except as provided under SMC 7.20.010, the city does withhold permission from any and all persons whomsoever for lodging by such person or persons in any building, structure or place owned by the city or in its possession or control. (Ord. 381 § 2, 1967).
7.20.030 Penalty for violation of SMC 7.20.010 and 7.20.020.
Any person who violates a provision of SMC 7.20.010 and 7.20.020 is guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by fine or imprisonment, or both, not exceeding $100.00 and 30 days in the county jail. (Ord. 381 § 3, 1967).
7.20.040 Prohibited deposits and fire building.
Except on the order of the public works director having jurisdiction of the subject matter, it is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to deposit any gravel, soil or any other material, or to build any fire, on or in the Mountain Cemetery, the public plaza, or public place in the city. (Ord. 483 § 1(J), 1974; Ord. 89 § 1, 1907).
7.20.050 Penalty for violation of SMC 7.20.040.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1.12 SMC. (Ord. 89 § 6, 1907).
