Article I. Peace Officers

2.20.010  Qualification.

The city declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4, of the California Penal Code. (Ord. 341 § 1, 1963).

2.20.020  Compliance required.

Pursuant to Section 13522 of Chapter 1 of the California Penal Code, the city, while receiving aid from the state of California pursuant to Chapter 1, will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. (Ord. 341 § 2, 1963).

Article II. Public Safety Dispatchers

2.20.030  Qualification.

The city declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Section 13522, Chapter 1, of Title 4, Part 4, of the California Penal Code. (Ord. 89-2 § 1, 1989).

2.20.040  Adherence.

Pursuant to Section 13510(c), Chapter 1, the city will adhere to standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). (Ord. 89-2 § 2, 1989).

2.20.050  Commission’s right to inquire.

Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, the Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the city’s public safety dispatcher personnel adhere to standards for selection and training established by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. (Ord. 89-2 § 3, 1989).
