3.08.010 Determination.

The duties of the city assessor with respect to the assessment of property in the city for municipal taxes, and all other duties incident thereto, and the duties of the city council with respect to the equalization and correction of property assessments for municipal taxes and all other duties incident thereto, and certain duties of the city clerk and the city tax collector with respect to such matters, having been transferred to officers of the county of Sonoma for the fiscal year 1959-1960 and thereafter, and the General Law of the state having been amended to make mandatory the transfer of such functions on a permanent basis by January 1, 1969, the city council finds and determines that all city functions relating to the assessment of property for taxation, the equalization, collection and enforcement thereof, including the sale of property for the nonpayment of taxes or assessments, have been transferred to the proper officers of the county of Sonoma pursuant to the General Law of the state of California. The previously established offices of assessor and tax collector of the city are abolished, and all duties of such officers otherwise provided by ordinance which are not transferred pursuant to the General Law and performed by officers of the county of Sonoma are delegated for performance to the city clerk.
