17.49.010 Purpose and intent.

A. The purpose of the MN combining district is to provide a district in which mineral resources may be protected and mining activities may be conducted in accordance to the provisions of Chapter 8.36.

B. In any zone where the zoning symbol is followed by the "MN" suffix symbol the requirements of this chapter shall apply, in addition to the requirements of the base zone.

C. In any instance where the provisions of this chapter conflict with the provisions of the zoning district with which the MN symbol is combined, the provisions of this chapter shall apply. (Ord. 322 §2(part), 1992)

17.49.020 Uses permitted.

17.49.030 Uses subject to site plan review.

Uses allowed in the MN combining district, are those permitted in the zoning district with which the MN district is combined and the findings of Section 17.49.050 are found to apply. (Ord. 322 §2(part), 1992)

17.49.040 Uses subject to conditional use permit.

Conditional uses allowed in the MN combining district are those indicated in the zoning district with which the MN district is combined and providing the findings of Section 17.49.050 are found to apply. (Ord. 322 §2(part), 1992)

17.49.050 Required findings.

No proposed land use, building or structure in the MN combining district or any subdivision of land creating any parcel of land less than five acres in size may be permitted in the MN combining district unless the planning commission, or city council upon appeal, find that:

A. The use meets the findings of Section 17.84.010;

B. The proposed use will be arranged and conducted so as not to preclude or create conflict with the eventual or on-going extraction of valuable or potentially valuable mineral resources from the site. (Ord. 322 §2(part), 1992)
