12.24.100    Animals.

12.24.010 Use restriction.

The Belmont Slough nature preserve shall not be made available for exclusive use by any group or person save and except for group reservations within the interpretive center under supervision of the parks and recreation department staff. Such use is to be confined solely to nature interpretive programs. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216 (part))

12.24.020 Opening and closing.

The director shall set opening and closing times of this facility. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(a))

12.24.030 Vehicle prohibitions.

Motorcycles, motor-bikes, bicycles and similar vehicles are not permitted within the preserve. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(b))

12.24.040 Boat restrictions.

Boats shall not be permitted within the marked boundaries of the preserve except when under the direct supervision of parks and recreation department staff. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(c))

12.24.050 Smoking on trails.

No person shall smoke on any trail except in those areas so designated and posted. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(d))

12.24.060 Food and beverage only in designated areas.

No person shall take any food or beverage into the preserve except in areas so designated and posted. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(e))

12.24.070 Fires prohibited.

No person shall start or maintain any fire within the preserve. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(f))

12.24.080 Path and walkway use required.

No person shall enter or depart from the preserve except on paths and walkways provided for this purpose. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(g))

12.24.090 Littering or disturbing natural elements prohibited.

No person shall leave any litter within the preserve nor disturb or remove any flora, fauna, soil, rocks or other elements from the preserve. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(h))

12.24.100 Animals.

Pets and domestic or captive animals are not permitted within the preserve except as specifically authorized by the director. (Ord. 81 § 1 (part), 1973: prior code § 6-216(i))
