(a) It shall be the duty of the Fire Chief to inspect, or cause to be inspected by the Bureau of Fire Prevention or by Fire Department officers or members, all buildings and premises except the interior of dwellings, no less than once every three (3) years, or as often as may be necessary for the purpose of ascertaining and causing to be corrected any conditions liable to cause fire, endanger life from fire, or any violations of the provisions or intent of the International Fire Code, or any other ordinance affecting the fire hazard.

(b) The Fire Chief, Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention or an inspector, upon the complaint of any person or whenever he, she or they shall deem it necessary, shall inspect any building and premises within their jurisdiction. (Ord. 941 § 1, 2007)
