TRAILER PARK SPEED LIMITS

It is unlawful for a person to drive a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles upon roadways within a legally established trailer park at a speed in excess of ten miles per hour. For purposes of this chapter, "roadway" includes publicly maintained roadways and private roadways which are open to public use. (Ord. 2066 §1, 1973)
10.08.020 Conditions for conviction.
A. No person shall be convicted of violating this chapter unless it is shown that at the time of the offense notice of the speed limit was posted at a conspicuous place near each major entrance to the trailer park in which the offense occurred.
B. Where a private roadway for public use is involved, the owner or operator of the trailer park shall be responsible for posting the required speed limit notices.
C. Signs shall substantially comply with the size and appearance of signs generally used by the city to designate speed. (Ord. 2066 §2, 1973)
10.08.030 Violation--Penalty.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall upon conviction be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars or confinement in jail not to exceed sixty days or both fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 2066 §3, 1973)
