2.52.010 Established.

There is established a free public library to be located in the city and to be open to the general public. (Ord. 817 NS § 1, 1980).

2.52.020 Fund created.

There is created a library fund pursuant to RCW 27.12.240 and all funds of the library shall be in the custody of the city treasurer. (Ord. 817 NS § 2, 1980).

2.52.030 Board of trustees.

There shall be an established board of trustees for the library pursuant to RCW 27.12.190. (Ord. 817 NS § 3, 1980).

2.52.040 Bylaws – Adoption.

The library shall adopt bylaws pursuant to RCW 27.12.210. (Ord. 817 NS § 4, 1980).

2.52.050 Operation pursuant to state statutes.

The library shall operate and otherwise be subject to the provisions of Chapter 27.12 RCW. (Ord. 817 NS § 5, 1980).

2.52.055 Gifts – Title to property.

The title to money or property given to or for the use or benefit of the library shall vest in the board of trustees, to be held and used according to the terms of the gift. (Ord. 869 NS § 1, 1981).

2.52.060 Ratification and confirmation of prior actions.

The actions taken in connection with the library to date are ratified and the current board of trustees is confirmed. (Ord. 817 NS § 6, 1980).

2.52.070 Nonresident usage fee.

Repealed by Ord. 1449 NS. (Ord. 1082 NS § 1, 1993).
