City Council members shall each be paid compensation at the rate of $150.00 per month. The mayor shall be paid compensation at the rate of $187.50 per month. Commencing January 1, 2000, City Council members shall each be paid monthly compensation at the rate of $450.00 and the mayor shall be paid monthly compensation at the rate of $500.00. The salary schedule as provided hereinabove is in addition to other benefits provided the Council by ordinance or resolution including but not limited to social security replacement and life insurance.
