2.55.010 Request for payment – Review.

Upon receipt of a request for payment of necessary expenses of defending an elective officer of the City in a judicial hearing to determine the sufficiency of a recall petition filed against the elected officer, the City Council shall, within 45 days of the date of receipt of the request, consider whether to pay necessary expenses in whole or in part in accordance with the provisions of RCW 4.96.041 at a regular or special Council meeting. (Ord. 16-00 § 1)

2.55.020 City obligation.

Nothing in this chapter shall obligate the City Council to pay any necessary expenses incurred either at a hearing to determine the sufficiency of a recall charge in the superior court or any appeals therefrom. (Ord. 16-00 § 2)
