The mayor is authorized to appoint a qualified person to the office of city administrator. (Ord. 618 § 1, 1992).
2.10.020 Duties.
The city administrator shall assist the mayor in the performance of his or her administrative responsibilities, implement the policies set forth by the mayor and city council as directed by them; report to the mayor and city council concerning the affairs of the city; and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the mayor. (Ord. 618 § 1, 1992).
2.10.030 Terms of employment.
The city administrator shall be employed by the city of Gig Harbor through a written contract; said contract to specifically state all terms of employment, compensation, and shall detail methods of termination by either party. (Ord. 618 § 1, 1992).
