CLASSIFICATION OF CITY

1.24.010 Adopted as noncharter code city.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the existing ordinances of the city of Shelton to the contrary, the city of Shelton, Washington, does adopt the classification of noncharter code city endowed with all applicable rights, powers, privileges, duties and obligations of noncharter code cities as set forth in Title 35A of the Revised Code of Washington as the same now exists, including, but not by way of limitation, those set forth specifically in Chapter 35A.11 of said title and further including any and all supplements, amendments or other modifications of said title hereafter at any time enacted. 1.24.020 Commission form retained.

The current form of government of the city of Shelton, being commission form, under the applicable statutes relating thereto, shall be retained as the form of government after the reclassification to that of noncharter code city under Title 35A of the Revised Code of Washington. (Ord. 1027 § 2, 1980)

1.24.030 Classification and name.

Upon filing of a certified copy of the ordinance codified in this chapter, the city of Shelton shall be classified as a noncharter code city retaining the commission form of government and the name of the city shall henceforth be the city of Shelton. (Ord. 1027 § 5, 1980)
