AMENDMENTS TO THE WASHINGTON STATE HISTORIC BUILDING CODE (WSHBC)

18.32.010 Amendment to WSHBC Section 270.

WSHBC Section 270 is hereby amended, to read as follows:

Section 270 Unsafe Building or Structure. All buildings or structures regulated by the WSHBC which are structurally unsafe or not provided with adequate egress, or which constitute a fire hazard or are otherwise dangerous to human life are, for the purpose of this section, unsafe. Abatement of unsafe structures or equipment shall proceed as defined in SMC Chapter 17.08.

18.32.020 Amendment to WSHBC Section 280.

WSHBC Section 280 is repealed, and a new Section 280 is hereby adopted, to read as follows:

Section 280 Appeals. Appeals from any notice and order of the building official under this code pertaining to violations shall be processed pursuant to SMC Section 17.08.024. Appeals from any notice and order of the building official under this code pertaining to alternate methods and materials must be submitted according to the provisions of SMC Section 18.05.035.
