REIMBURSEMENT BY FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES

The clerk-treasurer of the city is authorized to accept reimbursement payments from federal law enforcement agencies, including the U. S. Customs Service, for costs and expenses, including wage expenses, incurred by the Sumas police department and/or the city in providing resources to joint operations and task forces with federal law enforcement agencies. (Ord. 1205 § 1, 1997)

2.42.020 Payments deposited in general fund.

Payments received by the clerk-treasurer shall be deposited in the city’s general fund and utilized to reimburse payroll for city police officers’ wages and/or salaries. (Ord. 1205 § 2, 1997)
