9.18.020 Restrictions.
No person shall discharge any firearm, air gun, gas-operated gun or spring gun in the city of Colfax or use any instrument, toy or weapon commonly known as "pea shooter" or "sling shot"; provided, that this section shall not apply in the rural residential zone; and provided further, that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty, nor any citizen discharging a firearm when lawfully defending his person or property, nor discharging a firearm at a safe indoor firing range.
