3.16.010 Established – Purpose.

A special fund known as the Claims Fund is established pursuant to RCW 35.21.085 for the deposit of moneys from time to time from any funds which are available and upon which warrants may be issued and paid in payment of claims against the City for any purpose. Disbursements therefrom shall be on warrants approved by the City Council. (Ord. 1311 § 1, 1978).

3.16.020 Administration.

The Finance Director/City Treasurer shall be charged with the administration of and accounting for the Claims Fund, and such officer shall maintain the accounts of the City in such a manner as to reflect the department or departments and the respective amounts for which warrants against the Claims Fund are issued and paid, all as contemplated by RCW 35.21.085(2).
