CITY PETTY CASH FUND

There is created in the City Treasury a special fund designated the City Petty Cash Fund for the payment of incidental office expenses incurred by the City, and into which fund shall be deposited the sum of $500.00 which will be its maximum balance and out of which no single expense item shall exceed $50.00. The Finance Director shall be responsible for the administration and accounting of such fund. Warrants may be issued from time to time by the Finance Director based upon vouchers documenting disbursements made as approved by the City Council. (Ord. 1783 § 1, 1988; Ord. 1314 § 1, 1978).
3.24.020 Appropriation of funds – Warrant issuance.
The sum of $500.00 is appropriated from the General Fund to the City Petty Cash Fund for the purposes authorized in IMC 3.24.010, and the Finance Director is authorized to issue additional warrants, from time to time, to the fund to reimburse the fund for actual expenses incurred as contemplated in IMC 3.24.010. 3.24.030 Expenditures and deposits.
Any expenditures from and deposits into the City Petty Cash Fund prior to the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter are ratified and confirmed. (Ord. 1783 § 3, 1988; Ord. 1314 § 3, 1978).
