SIDE SEWER MAINTENANCE AND ABANDONMENT

13.56.010 Side sewer cleaning.

All side sewer cleaning contractors and/or plumbers, side sewer contractors and owners, prior to or while actually engaged in cleaning existing side sewers, as distinguished from plumbing and septic tank facilities, shall notify the City of such operations which are located within the service area of the City. (Ord. 2186 § 2, 1998).

13.56.020 Abandonment.

When demolishing or removing any structure connected to the public sewer, the property owner shall notify the City of such work, and shall expose and plug the side sewer connection of such structure in accordance with the requirements of the IMC and latest version of the City’s sewer standards. A City inspector must observe such plugging. (Ord. 2186 § 2, 1998).
