1.20.010 Statutes adopted – Districting committee activated.

Chapters 3.30 through 3.74 RCW, inclusive, are adopted and made applicable to the county; and the justice court districting committee provided for in RCW 3.38.010 is activated. (Res. 10-68 § 1, T-438, 1968).

1.20.020 Established – Composition.

A. Okanogan County shall be one justice court district.

B. Two justices of the peace shall be appointed and subsequently elected within the justice court district.

C. The central office of the justice court district shall be Courtroom No. 2 in the Okanogan County Courthouse where all records will be maintained.

D. The justice court judges will have authority to sit in all incorporated towns in the county as the occasion demands.

E. Justice court commissioners are authorized in all incorporated towns in the county and in other areas as determined by the justices of the peace. The duties of the justice court commissioners shall be as prescribed by law and by the two justices of the peace.

F. The selection of the presiding judge and the departments shall be determined by court rule as promulgated by the Supreme Court of the state, or as determined by local rule adopted by the justices of the peace.

G. The name of the court shall be Okanogan County district court. (Ord. 69-2 §§ 1 – 7, V-98, 1969).
