2.04.010 Meetings – Time.
The regular meetings of the city council shall be held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 6:30 p.m.; provided, if a regular meeting day falls on a legal holiday or on a scheduled furlough day, the regular meeting shall be held at 6:30 p.m. on the next business day following the holiday or furlough day. The city council may reschedule a regular meeting when, by a vote on a motion, the city council finds and approves that rescheduling a regular meeting is in the best interest of the efficient and effective functioning of the council and the city of Pacific. Notice of the rescheduled meeting will be made by the city clerk in the same manner as with other meeting announcements and as required by state statute. 2.04.020 Meetings – Location.
The official location of the city council meetings is 100 Third Avenue Southeast, city of Pacific, King County, Washington, otherwise known as City Hall Complex. (Ord. 540 § 1, 1974).
2.04.025 Workshop meetings.
A. The city council shall hold two workshops each month on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6:30 p.m.; provided, if a workshop meeting day falls on a legal holiday or on a scheduled furlough day, the workshop meeting shall be held on the next business day following the holiday or furlough day; except when, by a vote on a motion, the city council finds and approves that a cancellation or rescheduling of a scheduled workshop is in the best interest of the efficient and effective functioning of the council and the city of Pacific. Notice of the cancellation will be made by the city clerk in the same manner as with other meeting announcements.
B. The purpose of a workshop is for the city council to discuss and analyze matters which the city council will consider at its regular meetings.
C. Unless otherwise prohibited by law, audience participation at a workshop shall be permitted only with the consent of one or more city council members.
D. The city council shall not take final action on any matter at a workshop.

2.04.030 Audit and allowance of demands against city.
All demands against the city shall be presented to and reviewed by the finance committee of the city council, which shall make a recommendation to the city council regarding the payment or nonpayment of each demand. The city council shall audit each demand. Approval of a demand shall be effected by at least two members of the finance committee affixing their signatures to the demand on the space provided for on the same by the city clerk. 2.04.040 Department heads – Attendance at council meetings.
Repealed by Ord. 1286. (Ord. 803 § 1, 1980).
2.04.050 Salaries.
Each member of the city council shall be paid a salary of $50.00 for each week in which the council member attends a regularly scheduled city council meeting or workshop. Council members shall be allowed to miss three regularly scheduled meetings or workshops as days of paid vacation per calendar year. Council members who miss more than three regularly scheduled meetings or workshops, whether excused or not, shall not receive their salary for the week.
