13.04.010 Burial.

“Burial” means the placement of human remains in a grave. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(d), 1953).

13.04.020 Cemetery businesses and purposes.

“Cemetery business,” “cemetery businesses,” and “cemetery purposes” are used interchangeably and mean any and all business and purposes requisite to, necessary for, or incident to establishing, maintaining, operating, improving, or conducting a cemetery property. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(f), 1953).

13.04.030 Cremated remains.

“Cremated remains” means human remains after cremation in a crematory. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(b), 1953).

13.04.040 Grave.

“Grave” means a space of ground in a cemetery used, or intended to be used, for burial. General dimensions not to exceed nine feet by four feet. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(e), 1953).

13.04.050 Human remains or remains.

“Human remains” or “remains” means the body of a deceased person, and includes the body in any stage of decomposition and cremated remains. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(a), 1953).

13.04.060 Interment.

“Interment” means the disposition of human remains by cremation and inurnment, entombment, or burial in a place used, or intended to be used, and dedicated for cemetery purposes. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(c), 1953).

13.04.070 Lot, plot or interment plot.

“Lot,” “plot,” or “interment plot” means space in a cemetery used or intended to be used for the interment of human remains. Such terms include and apply to one or more than one adjoining graves, one or more than one adjoining crypts or vaults, or one or more than one adjoining niches. 13.04.080 Plot owner, owner or lot owner.

“Plot owner,” “owner,” or “lot owner” means any person in whose name an interment plot stands of record as owner in the city office. (Ord. 2735 § 1, 2002; Ord. 1192 § 1(h), 1953).
